Executive Chef / Founder
Shahen Mouradyan
Chef Shahen is a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu School of Culinary Arts. He holds a degree in Culinary Arts as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Business and Hospitality Management. He started his career in 2003 working in some of Orange County's best fine dining restaurants. He then discovered catering by accident, and before starting Gold Coat Catering, was the Executive Chef for some of the finest catering companies in Orange County.
Chef Shahen has catered for multiple high end events includeing the Emmys and Oscars. His high standards from his fine dining roots and event experience in catering, plus his talented and creative cooking skills are some of the characteristics that have made him the successful chef he is today.
He has traveled all over Europe, tasting some of the best foods in the world. His love for travel and food show on our ever changing menus. With over 5,000 events under his belt, and over 20 years of experience, you can be confident with him leading his team at your event.
Chef Shahen grew up in Newport Beach. On his free time he enjoys watching Lakers basketball games, playing with his dogs and traveling.
